Main field of scientific experience and interest:
Radioactive waste disposal - site selection and site investigation procedures: scientific investigation and analyses of geosphere data for the purposes of radionuclide migration pathways;
Contaminant transport in variably-saturated media: elaboration of classical and innovative (reactive transport modeling, RTM) models in the field of the flow and transport simulations for describing the fate and migration of nutrients and contaminants in chemically and physically heterogeneous soil systems;
Determination of soil hydraulic properties: Laboratory and field-scale tests for receiving of soil hydraulic properties as key factors in the predictions of contaminant migration in the environment;
Soil-based engineered barriers: stabilized soil-cement mixtures with various high-adsorption additives (zeolite, bentonite, etc.) for environmental protection purposes.
